The Challenge & Goal
The primary goal for this project in Al Garhoud, Dubai, was to create a modern majlis that masterfully blends traditional charm with a fresh, contemporary aesthetic. The challenge was to design a space that respected deep-rooted cultural values while feeling stylish, simple, and uncluttered. We aimed to craft an environment that was not only visually impressive but also exceptionally welcoming and comfortable for family gatherings and entertaining guests.

This modern majlis design is defined by its clean lines and luxurious yet understated details:
Elegant Tufted Sofas: Long, cream-colored sofas provide generous seating, with classic tufting and gold legs adding a touch of modern royalty.
Glossy Marble Centerpiece: A large, high-gloss marble coffee table acts as a bold and sophisticated anchor for the entire seating area.
Marble & Gold Wall Panels: The walls feature a stylish combination of marble and soft-toned panels, highlighted with neat gold trim for a clean, elegant look.
“Falling Leaves” Golden Chandelier: A stunning, artistic chandelier serves as the room’s primary focal point, adding a special sparkle and a statement of modern glamour.
Abundant Natural Light: Large windows on both sides ensure the space is bright and welcoming throughout the day, enhancing the open and airy design.
For the walls, we created a refined look using a mix of marble and soft-toned panels, elegantly separated by gold trim. This not only adds visual interest but also contributes to the calm and serene atmosphere of the space. Large windows were incorporated to flood the majlis with natural light, enhancing its bright and airy feel, while a stunning golden chandelier, designed to resemble falling leaves, serves as a glamorous centerpiece.
Our Approach & Solution
Our approach centered on a meticulous blend of modern and traditional elements. By selecting a light and sophisticated color palette, we ensured the majlis felt spacious and serene. The strategic use of gold accents on the furniture and walls added a touch of royalty, while the marble surfaces brought in natural elegance. Our expert team managed the entire fit-out process, ensuring every detail, from the ambient lighting to the placement of each decorative panel, was executed with precision. The seamless integration of these elements resulted in a contemporary majlis that is both a stylish statement piece and a comfortable, welcoming space, perfectly tailored to the client’s lifestyle.
