The Challenge & Goal

The primary challenge in this restaurant design was to accommodate the client’s need for both a full dining area and a dedicated bar within a 150-square-meter space. The goal was to achieve a look that was undeniably luxurious and sophisticated, yet felt elegantly simple and uncluttered. The vision was to create a timeless classical ambiance that would offer guests a refined and memorable dining experience.

Details & Features

This classic restaurant interior design is defined by its exquisite and authentic details:

  • Classical Architectural Elements: The space is enriched with decorative columns featuring ornate capitals, intricate gypsum ceiling moldings, and elegant wall panels with floral reliefs.

  • Elegant Flooring & Walls: A striking black and white geometric marble floor provides a timeless foundation, complemented by large wall mirrors that enhance the sense of depth.

  • Bespoke Classic Furniture: Custom Louis-style chairs upholstered in textured beige fabric are paired with elegant marble-top tables on artistic metal bases.

  • Refined Lighting Scheme: A combination of grand chandeliers with fabric shades, antique bronze wall sconces, and modern recessed lighting creates a warm and sophisticated ambiance.

  • Sophisticated Bar Design: The dedicated bar area features a beautiful back bar with distinctive arched niches, creating a stylish and functional focal point.

Our Approach & Solution

Our approach was to build upon a foundation of classical design principles while employing a minimalist color strategy to maintain a sense of openness. The core of our solution was the adoption of a neutral “nude” color palette, which provided a perfect backdrop of understated elegance. This allowed the ornate architectural details—such as the decorative columns, intricate gypsum moldings, and floral wall reliefs—to stand out without overwhelming the space.

By carefully zoning the layout, we seamlessly integrated the bar area, with its distinctive arched niches, into the main dining floor. The selection of classic Louis-style chairs, marble-top tables, and luxurious velvet drapes reinforced the timeless theme, while large mirrors were used to create an illusion of greater depth, successfully achieving the desired balance of luxury and simplicity.
